Cosmic Villas is pleased to present this traditional winery compound on the prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri in Santorini.
Founded in 1926, the winery produced a variety of wines made from grapes grown in Thira's ancient vineyards. At the winery's main building, grapes were stomped with the makers' feet, and no mechanical presses were used.
The grapes were stomped into a must in the winepresses, which have been preserved in their original state.
They must be later placed in oakwood barrels and moved to the Villa hollow building to age.
The marble inscriptions, oak barrels, vineyard winch, winepress, clay pots, and some of the winemaking tools are all still part of the Villa's decor today.
The compound was completely renovated with due regard for the site's history in order to provide visitors with the opportunity to experience a time travel to a bygone era while providing a one-of-a-kind experience of luxurious hospitality.
