Villa Allium
About This Villa
Open the blue shuttered windows of your Provençal bastide and be greeted with the most beautiful sight of your Mediterranean garden with pines, cypresses and olive trees amongst terracotta pots of summer colour scattered on stone terraces. What’s more, this idyllic abode is located within walking distance to medieval Grimaud, one of the French Riviera’s prettiest villages and just a short drive from Saint-Tropez.
Villa Allium is both elegant and authentic, sleeping up to 10 guests across its five air-conditioned bedrooms. On the ground floor, appreciate the charm of the spacious salon with its fireplace whilst the attractive kitchen-diner leads to a terrace for breakfast overlooking the garden below. Upstairs, another lounge has a Smart TV with English channels and streaming services. Sleep restfully across three double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and two twins which share a bathroom, making this wonderful holiday home ideal for family or friends.
Stroll along the pretty paths in the garden admiring agapanthuses, lavender and jasmine, then follow steps down to the swimming pool which can be heated on request (for a supplement). Passing many olive trees, walk up to the vineyard and embrace your gorgeous Provençal surroundings.
This is such a picture-perfect setting with its vast grounds and you are located just in front of the perched village of Grimaud, a true gem of the Côte d’Azur. Potter around the narrow flower-filled lanes with restaurants, little shops and art galleries, then gaze at the glorious views as you reach Place de l'Église before venturing to the village’s château ruins. A Provençal market takes place on a Thursday morning.
Heading towards the coast, tour the canals of Port Grimaud by boat and soak up its atmospheric markets including an especially lovely Monday evening marché nocturne in the height of the summer. Swim in the sea from palm-fringed Plage de Grimaud or catch the ferry across the bay to the family-friendly seaside resort to Sainte-Maxime.
Boats also whisk you away to Saint-Tropez, a great way to avoid the summer traffic. Experience the glamour of the former fishing village, now one of the French Riviera’s most desirable destinations. Plage de Pampelonne is also not to be missed, famed for its exclusive beach clubs and range of seasonal watersports, or you may prefer the calmer shores south of La Croix Valmer, an area loved for its stunning bays and Côtes de Provence vineyards.
