Set in a unique estate in the Charente Maritime, with a backdrop of ancient stone walls, this 17th century villa with private pool is set in twelve acres of beautiful parkland.

Formerly the wine and Cognac press until the mid-20th century, Domaine Serbise has been converted into a holiday home. The estate, including vast areas of stunning parkland, includes the impressive Chateau Serbise and homely Etables Serbise, all three historical homes can be rented together for large groups and celebrations or booked separately for an ideal family holiday.

In the rustic and characterful interior, renovated in 2025, you’ll enjoy an open-plan kitchen-diner and living area with a particularly spacious and airy feel to it, offering plenty of room for guests to relax and socialise. Upstairs you'll find five comfortable bedrooms, and outside a delightful private swimming pool, garden and terrace.  

Whilst the charming home is full of history, you will find all the modern conveniences you would expect such as a well-equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and fibre-optic WiFi. The house features a lovely terrace, barbecue and al-fresco eating area in addition to the private swimming pool, not forgetting the estate’s spacious gardens and parkland for you to explore.

Within 7km can find yourself in medieval Pons with restaurants, small shops and historical sights. Activities in the area include golf, horse-riding and canoeing. Beach-lovers only have to travel just over half an hour to the coast – there are long stretches of sandy beaches from St Georges de Didonne to St Palais sur Mer. Wine aficionados needn’t travel far either with dozens of wineries and Cognac nearby. This region has a particularly mild climate all year round and it can be one of the sunniest parts of France during from late Spring to Autumn.
