About This Villa
Play tennis overlooking a vineyard then cool off in your private swimming pool before retiring for a glass of Luberon AOC on the al-fresco lounge. This elegant Provençal mas is set in tranquil landscapes offering enchanting views towards the perched village of Oppède le Vieux, ideally located for visiting Ménerbes, Gordes, Avignon and other gems of Provence.
Sleeping 14 guests, Mas Saint Blaise has been sensitively yet stylishly renovated by its meticulous owners who have a great eye for detail. Interiors are chic and uncluttered allowing you to appreciate both traditional features and graceful design. The main farmhouse features six elegant bedrooms (one twin and five with queen-size double beds), all with contemporary en suite bathrooms. There is also a charming annexe with its own lounge and kitchenette alongside a mezzanine-style double. Other features across the home include Wi-Fi, a Smart TV and underfloor cooling/heating.
The garden is idyllic with all the scents and sights of Provence and pretty terraces to soak up the tranquil surroundings. The swimming pool can be heated on request (for a supplement) and features a gorgeous terrace with sun loungers whilst the outdoor lounge is the perfect spot to escape the warm summer sun. Beyond your private garden and swimming pool, explore the wider estate and come across roses, wisteria, cypress trees, pines and more glorious scenery. The tennis court is another wonderful addition – imagine playing on balmy evenings as the sun sets behind the hills.
There is a bakery, épicerie and a small handful of places to eat just over 2km away whilst even closer is hilltop Oppède le Vieux - be captivated by the medieval village’s historic charm as you explore its narrow lanes and admire the incredible Luberon vistas. Ménerbes is just over 5 minutes by car, one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ made famous by Peter Mayle’s ‘A Year in Provence’ whilst other jewels of the Luberon include Gordes, Bonnieux and Roussillon. Meanwhile, cycle or hike past cherry orchards, poppy and lavender fields, forest and vineyards and try some of the Luberon’s excellent wines.
Elsewhere in southern France, try the summer melons of Cavaillon, potter around the markets of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, canoe along the Sorgue from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, pass olive groves en route to Les Baux-de-Provence and visit the art galleries of Saint-Rémy. Not to mention day trips such as Avignon and Aix-en-Provence for yet more fantastic experiences before returning to the serene ambience of your gorgeous Luberon farmhouse.
