About This Villa

It’s rare to find a villa with a beautiful swimming pool set in secluded gardens yet also within a short stroll to one of southern France’s most delightful towns. Maison Petunia Blanche enjoys all of this and more, located in historic Pézenas yet also close to the vineyards, villages and idyllic landscapes of the Languedoc-Roussillon.

An artist’s home, bold artwork adorns the walls and sculptures are proudly displayed in the large living and dining space, a room filled with light from the large bay doors that lead straight to the gardens. The bright kitchen is superbly equipped with its convivial kitchen island and doors out to an al-fresco terrace. Four inviting bedrooms include a spacious master double with its own sunken bath and there’s also a simpler fifth bedroom for extra space if needed, allowing this warm and welcoming home to sleep up to nine guests.

The garden is your own corner of paradise with its swimming pool, surrounded by shady pines and pots bursting with summer colour from vivid hydrangeas to trailing petunias. Kids can splash around in the shallow plage at one end of the pool whilst keen swimmers can bathe as they admire the verdant scenery around them. Pretty stone terraces, a shaded al-fresco lounge and even a quiet bench by the pond offer picturesque spots to relax with a glass of Languedoc wine as you listen to the birds sing.

It’s hard to believe you are within walking distance to the heart of Pézenas, one of the Languedoc’s finest towns with beautiful architecture, wonderful restaurants and cafes as well as the historic market on a Saturday morning, one of the best in the region. Visit Molière’s L'illustre Théâtre, wander around antique shops and art galleries and admire artists at work in studios dotted around the old town.

Head out to the Languedoc countryside for wonderful walks, cycling and wine-tasting in beautiful vineyards. Visit pretty villages such as Montagnac, sample oysters and white wine by the Étang de Thau in Mèze, canoe along the river Orb or head to the long stretches of sandy beach and watersports in Cap d’Agade and Sète, just half and hour away.

Béziers is also close by and you can even reach the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert and Carcassonne for incredible days out. Maison Petunia Blanche's superb setting offers a wealth of experiences both in Pézenas and across the alluring Languedoc region.
