La Chartreuse d’Aigre is a beautifully restored historic country home set within superb private grounds on the edge of a tiny Charente village. Here you’ll find cafés, local shops, a Thursday morning market and all essential amenities. The train station at Luxé, only 7km away, offers connections to Angoulême and Poitiers, while regional highlights include the historic abbey at Saint-Amant-de-Boixe and scenic walking trails through tranquil countryside.
