About This Villa

Le Grand Platane is a charming villa in Provence offering a relaxing escape for up to 10 guests, ideally located close to the traditional town of Châteaurenard and just a short drive from the historic heart of Avignon. Sleeping up to 10 guests, this 3-bedroom villa balances traditional charm with modern comforts. The ground floor hosts a fully-equipped kitchen with a dining area, ideal for family meals and gatherings, while the expansive living room offers ample space for relaxation.

On the upper floor, guests will find a well-appointed bathroom with a bathtub, a separate WC, and a master bedroom with its own shower room. Two further bedrooms, each furnished with a queen-size bed and a mezzanine level with a standard double bed, provide versatile accommodation for families with older children or groups of friends.

Outside, generous grounds offer plenty of seating with a garden lounge and sun loungers alongside the gorgeous swimming pool that can be heated on request (for a supplement). Enjoy sunny afternoons beneath the shade of the huge plane tree followed by a competitive game on the 22m-long boules court.  

Pass farmland and countryside en route to the Provençal town of Châteaurenard, only 3km by car, with its restaurants, good-sized supermarkets and wonderful weekly market. Heading north instead, the historic city of Avignon awaits just 8km away. Known for its rich history and stunning architecture, visit the UNESCO-listed Palais des Papes and the Pont Saint-Bénézet.

Other highlights of the region include artistic Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the vineyards of the Rhone valley, and the Roman sites of Nimes and Le Pont du Gard, not to mention the mesmerising landscapes of the Luberon and Les Alpilles.
