Podere Arazzo
About This Villa
Set in the Chianti hills close to Florence, Podere Arazzo is a historic Italian residence dating back to the 15th century. Admire coffered ceilings, Impruneta terracotta floors and frescoed salons while embracing the comfort and warmth of a lived-in family home, part of a wine estate in Tuscany.
Podere Arazzo sleeps 14-16 guests across three floors, with two distinctive parts of the house. Step into the grand entrance and through to the welcoming living room and a charming dining area with doors opening to the garden. The pretty kitchen is ideal for preparing breakfast and family meals whilst three en suite bedrooms can also be found on this floor, one twin and two with queen-size doubles.
The second part of the residence is reached via a courtyard staircase and feels like its own retreat, home to another salon, kitchen and dining room – the Tuscan views from the first floor are mesmerising. All four bedrooms (two doubles and two twins) feature en suite bathrooms and there’s a sofa-bed in a mezzanine lounge.
The Tuscan garden awaits for long lunches, evening aperitivi and barbecued feasts. Guests enjoy shared access to the estate’s swimming pool with its sun terrace and loungers, ideal for a relaxing afternoon after a morning of exploration. The grounds are beautiful, opening to olive trees, cypresses and vines – you can even see Florence’s skyline in the distance. Part of a working vineyard and winery, olive oil and wine tastings can of course be arranged.
Here you are just a short drive from Impruneta, an authentic village renowned for its terracotta craftsmanship and warm, local charm. A little further lies Florence itself, easily reached for spontaneous days of art, history, shopping and exceptional dining. Indeed, you are perfectly positioned for exploring the heart of Tuscany, with scenic drives through Chianti’s famed vineyards and hilltop villages revealing a landscape rich in flavour, tradition and natural beauty.
