Villa Esotica
About This Villa
Nestled between imposing extinct volcanoes and beaches on the beautiful island of Salina, you will find Villa Esotica. Sleeping 12 guests across three modern and refined suites with impressive living spaces and a vast garden, this is a beautiful place to stay for a break on Sicily's Aeolian Islands.
If you are looking for an idyllic holiday location which offers beaches, historic sites, incredible hiking routes and sumptuous local cuisine, then why not try Salina, the second largest island in the UNESCO World Heritage protected archipelago. The island is small enough to feel tranquil, away from the hoards of tourists on mainland Sicily and yet there is enough to see and do here to keep everyone in your party entertained.
If you are searching for a spacious, sea-view home with high-end interior design and manicured outdoor spaces, look no further than Villa Esotica. Throughout the home you will see bold colours, antique furnishings and art works which have been curated by a Milanese gallery. This home has been carefully, lovingly furnished, and decorated to offer the finest accommodation to guests who will sleep in the three exclusive suites.
The home's ground floor boasts communal areas, including a large living room, a dining room and a modern, fully-fitted kitchen. One of the suites is also set on the ground floor. This suite has two double bedrooms, which each have chic en-suite bathrooms. The suite also has a living room and a kitchenette, so you can prepare light meals and coffees without entering the larger kitchen. Upstairs, there is another suite with the same layout but its own design and colour palette and a third suite offering an in-room roll-top bath where you can unwind in a bubble bath after a busy day.
When the weather is fine, you and your party can spend most of your time outdoors in the lush, oasis-like garden. There are covered pergolas for dining, a private heated swimming pool and a terrace where you can enjoy a glass of local wine and soak in the sea views. When you wish to pick up some groceries or enjoy an evening aperitivo, you can simply stroll out of the garden and into the village of Malfa. This pretty, coastal village is brilliant to have so close and has a good range of amenities including shops, cafes and restaurants. You can also access scenic walking and hiking trails and two gorgeous beaches around 1km of the house!
The island of Salina has two other towns you can explore, San Marina and Leni, as well as smaller villages. Nature lovers will enjoy hiking up the island's twin peaks, Monte Fossa delle Felci and Monte Porri, which are former volcanoes in a verdant landscape. If you would like to discover more of the Aeolian Islands, you can do so on boat trips which are great fun for all ages.
Please note that whilst Villa Esotica is near Eastern Sicily it is actually located in Salina in the centre of the Aeolian Islands. The island can be reached from Sicily by ferry from Milazzo.
