Trullo Barbagianni
About This Villa
Trullo Barbagianni is an extraordinary abode near Cisternino that epitomises understated luxury, seamlessly blending tradition and design set within a 6-hectare estate of olive trees and stunning natural scenery.
The owners have created a complete holiday experience at this exquisite dwelling in Puglia. Immerse yourself in the heritage of your surroundings, interspersed with contemporary art and design, all enhanced by the exceptional services that can be arranged during your stay.
Built with local white stone, the main residence has been sensitively restored to create a fine holiday home with three gorgeous bedrooms, each with Smart TVs, walk-in wardrobes and en suite bathrooms. The modern living and dining room has been designed with floor-to-ceiling windows whilst the charming kitchen features sleek, high-end appliances contrasting exposed stone walls and its conical roof.
Discover another two en suite bedrooms with independent entrances, each in a restored trullino within the gardens, whilst a poolside annexe is home to the sixth bedroom. Trullo Barbagianni can therefore comfortably sleep up to 12 guests across its beautifully styled interiors.
The salt-water swimming pool awaits or relax on the sun loungers on the poolside terrace listening to music or simply soaking up the southern Italian sun. Dine together beneath the stone gazebo and chat long into the evening by one of the outdoor relaxation areas.
Beyond your private grounds, the estate (also home to Trullo Acanto) boasts shared use of an outdoor gym and organic kitchen garden. Guests of Trullo Barbagianni can also use their own padel court (padel coaches can be organised).
The services that can be arranged (at an extra cost) seem endless – creating memorable opportunities is part of the overall experience here. From well-being, beauty and fitness sessions to gastronomic dinners, star-gazing evenings, cookery classes and personalised tours, there are so many ideas to discuss before you arrive. One of our many favourites has to be outdoor movie nights with popcorn under the stars.
Make the most of the beauty of the Valle d’Itria, a captivating part of Puglia. Start off in Cisternino, just over 3km by car, with its characterful warren of old lanes, little squares and white-washed houses, surrounded by glorious Apulian landscapes of olive groves, vines, historic farmhouses and trulli.
Other gems of the region include Alberobello, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica and Ostuni (known as La Città Bianca), all with their own stories to tell, whilst the sandy beach, lighthouse and thermal baths of Torre Canne can be easily reached for another magical day out.
