For some stunning countryside living, Santana Views offers another look at the Algarve. This stylish property enjoys an idyllic location with direct views over Barragem do Funcho and the river. Santana Views is set back in the hills surrounded by fig and carob trees with nature trails winding down to the water’s edge. The villa offers complete privacy, tranquility and beauty. It is a fabulous venue for a special celebration and the owners often arrange weddings, painting and walking retreats, culinary cooking courses, wine tastings, detox breaks and yoga workshops. You can enjoy many supporting services such as a private chef, grocery delivery, massage, beauty treatments, bird watching guides, walking guides, kayaking, paddle boarding and office services. You have the benefit of this sensational location yet you are still within easy reach of Albufeira, Vilamoura and the breathtaking beaches of the Algarve. With five beautifully finished bedrooms, the villa sleeps up to ten guests plus babies in cots. The interiors are meticulous, very inviting and utterly charming with characterful features such as double height ceilings and beams. The villa enjoys a stunning deck with a gorgeous infinity pool and superb, uninterrupted views of the countryside and the Funcho Dam. Santana Views was originally a Portuguese farmhouse. It has been tastefully renovated to offer luxurious modern comfort. The villa is extremely family friendly with all kinds of equipment and toys available.

The lounge of Santana Views is a heavenly space with a very attractive double height ceiling with characterful wooden beams. It also boasts squishy sofa and colourful accessories, beautifully complementing the natural hues. There is a good selection of books, magazines and family games. The lounge is drowned in natural light and offers double doors to the sun terrace. Next door, the generous kitchen diner is another delight with the very best of appliances, perfect for cooking enthusiasts. A large 10 seater cherry wood dining table makes this a very sociable space. If you do want to cook, a local culinary chef can prepare a scrumptious dinner every night or you can pre-order lunches or dinners from a local catering partner who offer a delivery service. You can also request welcome hampers, picnic hampers and packed lunches. What a treat!

The master bedroom suite is absolutely fabulous, a light, airy dreamy space with a beautiful ensuite bathroom and a super comfy kingsize bed. Luxury linens and stunning soft furnishings complete this wonderful room. Located on the ground floor, double doors open to the garden and pool area, a perfect  spot for your morning cup of coffee. The second largest room, the Teal Room, is also on the ground floor with its own ensuite bathroom and access to the garden and pool. Varying shades of blue and teal offer a calm and luxurious feel and luxury linens adorn the kingsize bed. The ensuite’s walk-in power shower offers grab handles which are useful if you have anyone in your group with mobility issues. The Green Room on the first floor enjoys wonderful character with its rustic wooden beams, sloping ceiling and Juliet balcony that overlooks the pool and the attractive Funcho Dam. It offers twin beds, again beautifully dressed. The room offers a black out curtain so that you can sleep in longer. It shares a large family bathroom. The Zebra Room is another delightful twin which can be made into a double on request. Beautifully decorated, there are naturally zebra elements. The room’s Juliet balcony looks out to the dam and panoramic countryside views. The Zebra Room has use of the family bathroom. The final bedroom is the Purple Room with its smart purple colour pops and wonderful double skylights, perfect for stargazing. It enjoys a superbly comfortable kingsize bed and shares the family bathroom. The family bathroom is very generous in size with double washbasins, a large walk-in power shower and complimentary luxurious toiletries.

Santana Views boasts beautiful outside space with a large deck winding itself around three quarters of the villa. The deck can be used for special celebrations. The sunset terrace offers welcome shade, perfect for alfresco dining under the mature Carob trees with spectacular views of the dam and river. The pool deck is at the back of the house enjoying fantastic sunsets and stunning views. Surrounded by luxury loungers and with a martini seat in the pool, you will enjoy many hours here. The large waterfront deck is a wonderful spot to relax on outdoor sofas watching the herons wading. During springtime, the exotic hoopoe and Iberian, azure-winged magpies flitter from tree to tree. Just off the kitchen you will discover an outdoor cooking area with a barbecue and wood fired pizza oven.
