The island of Korcula is known as “Black Korcula” due to its dense forests of evergreen holm oak, maquis, and cypress spears.
A local pizzeria is quite near the villa itself, but guests can also visit a local fish market on the harbour, as well as the nearby beach bar.
Guests should pay a visit to the seaside villages adorning this 20-mile-long island, as they are well-known for their stunning beaches, vineyards, and olive groves. St Anthony’s Hill, a cypress tree-lined alley that leads to a stairway spanning 102 steps total, leads the way from Lombarda to Korcula Town.
It features a small chapel looking onto the Orebic shore and surrounding islands. The Korcula Town is known as a “mini-Dubrovnik” due to its ancient walls and rustic charm, with the belltower of St Mark’s Cathedral looking over the Peljesac Channel.
This area’s many beaches, such as Lumbarda, Pupnat, Bilin Zal and Bacva are quite a sight to see, so guests should pay them a visit!
