It is conveniently located close to the renowned Lake Garda in the Veneto area of northern Italy, surrounded by undulating plains and overlooking the right bank of the Adige River.

You can park your car in the courtyard when you get to this Italian country house and enjoy expansive views of the whole place while you wait.

The main house, constructed in a traditional Venetian style in the 16th century, and the nearby flats are now under the supervision and protection of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities after undergoing extensive restoration work in the 1960s.

The villa's interiors and fragrant gardens, surrounded by stately trees, still reflect its former splendour.

The public areas, such as the frescoed living room and charming library, are decorated with magnificent furnishings and accessories, like botanical wallpapers, floor-to-ceiling draperies, fine Italian paintings, and patterned sofas.

Each of the six apartments contains exposed beams, wood furnishings, and an en-suite bathroom, preserving many of the villa's original features.

The estate's two farmhouse apartments provide extra space and a little seclusion if you travel in a bigger group.

They have cosy living areas, roomy bedrooms, and individual kitchens that are all finished with the same level of care.

Al fresco dinners can be served in the shadow of the elegant entrances of the apartments, which are built for those who enjoy the finer things in life, even though the estate's expansive park is big enough for large gatherings.

On a hot summer day, guests can cool down in the outdoor swimming pool, and the numerous siesta spots tucked away in the gardens embody the Italian maxim "dolce far niente," or "the art of doing nothing.

Consider the expansive garden, which awaits you as you down the stone staircase at the back of the villa, as a beautiful invitation to lounge under olive and cypress trees in the tranquilly of a 4-hectare private park.

Suppose you prefer to take a stroll. In that case, it won't take you more than 15 minutes to get to the neighbourhood conveniences and a handful of trattorias serving up freshly made pasta dishes, after which you may continue along the river or into the lovely woods.

A trip to the Veneto region wouldn't be complete without stopping at Lago di Garda, Italy's largest lake. Therefore, we suggest staying here for at least one full day.

It is noted for its crystal-clear water, warm atmosphere, and lovely communities sprinkled along its beaches. It is situated on the border of the Dolomites and was created by a glacier during the last ice age.

If you want to explore, Verona is just a 20-minute drive away and makes a great day excursion.

The charming city is known for being the location of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and has a mediaeval old town constructed between the meandering Adige River. It is bursting at the seams with art galleries and noteworthy historic buildings.

€1000 paid in cash to the owner upon arrival and refunded upon departure, subject to full inspection.
