Cosmic Villas is proud to present this magnificent estate, which consists of a main mediaeval castle, a striking tower building, and a separate events-only castle. All of these are situated within 1500 acres of parkland, including a nature reserve, lakes, a river, and a farm in the gently rolling hills of Umbria. Emperor Frederick II of Swabia built the octagonal tower.
This owner-managed residence, brimming with richness and history, bears all the markers of status from decades of noble family ownership. Yet, it offers genuine hospitality, warmth, and abundant lodging, including products from the working farm that can be purchased and planned local excursions that use in-depth local expertise.
The castle has been in the same family (Bonaparte descendants) since 1901, emerging like a vision from the pages of a fairy tale novel. The majestic mansion tucked away in privacy and isolation, maintains the old building's integrity while providing modern comforts for a luxurious getaway.
The main house is centred around a beautifully lovely courtyard and has terracotta roofs that slope. The imperial tower rises majestically and makes a striking silhouette. The courtyard, lined with al fresco dining tables and parasols and perfumed with lemon trees and blossoming plants, creates a dreamy environment for dinner groups.
Up to thirty guests can stay in the main house's seven bedrooms and the hilltop tower's eight bedrooms spread across four apartments. This is perfect for special occasions and can create the ideal setting for romantic weddings, complete with a plain but magnificent church.
The guest house, which has a single bedroom and apartments, may only be rented in addition to the main home and has a capacity of 15, although the main house can be rented alone (a further 15 guests). In addition, a second mediaeval castle in the valley that is only used for events is available for venue rental.
The property's interiors are a perfect blend of luxurious and sumptuous, full of historical charm, cosy comfort, and modern accents for the modern family. Visitors will love the fusion of glitz and history around them thanks to exposed timber beams, original doors, and stonework that contrast with a polished, stylish, and opulent design.
