The castle's exterior has preserved its defensive nature, but four years of extensive refurbishment have transformed the interior into a hospitable and comfortable home.
A park with century-old trees, expansive lawns, and a lovely pool with views of the steep 1400-acre estate surrounds the castle.
Beautiful trails are marked around the estate, and visitors can even go truffle hunting with local experts in the right season. The castle has been in the Bonaparte family since 1830, and the current owners are descended from that line.
