Cosmic Villas is pleased to present this incredible, modernised stone home in Liguria, near Tuscany. Surrounded by woodland and views of the Apuan Alps, this is a beautiful spot to stay if you want to get away from it all and see some authentic Italy.
The villa is two different dwellings: the main home with four bedrooms and a guest house with two more bedrooms. With a total capacity of 12 people, this home is ideal for two families travelling together or a large group of friends.
The main home has plenty of social room to gather while enjoying a meal. Still, the guest house also has living space and a kitchen for those who like a little seclusion now and again. The enormous property has rustic charm and characteristics, but it still feels light and airy.
When you step outside, you will find yourself in a tranquil countryside. There are many places to enjoy the forest and mountain views in the green garden, including dining areas, a private pool, and sun loungers.
Because the house is rurally located, it is excellent for a leisurely vacation that includes exploring the nearby countryside and making a few day trips. A 5-minute drive away is a village with many services such as a small store, café, pizza, and a few bars. There are also numerous hiking and cycling trails nearby and canyoning opportunities.
Aulla, a larger town with many more stores and restaurants, is 15 minutes away by a vehicle. Locals shop for groceries at some great street markets, but there are also a few supermarkets.
The village is between two rivers and is guarded by a fortress, which houses the Museum of Natural History.
As the area is rich in old pilgrimage pathways, like the Via Fracigena, there are numerous places of worship and archaeological sites in town.
Despite its rural setting, the house is conveniently located for visiting several of Tuscany's most famous sights and attractions, including the magnificent canyon, the Straits of Giaredo and the lovely beaches of Lerici, known as the Gulf of Poets.
The famed Cinque Terre villages are only an hour away. They can be combined with a boat ride along the spectacular coastline. The lively city of Pisa is just over an hour away and well worth the trek.
