An aristocratic family originally purchased the villa in the 1600s as a vacation home. In the 19th century, it was given to monks who renovated the inside and added a church and school.
The grand villa's current owners have spent many years carefully renovating it to restore its former splendour. They even hired a Florentine artist to restore the murals from the 18th century that can be found in several magnificent rooms.
Of course, no cost was wasted in introducing modern conveniences like free Wi-Fi, mini-bars, and robes in the bedrooms, as well as stunning bathrooms, many of which have modern rain showers.
Eleven air-conditioned bedrooms, with the majority having private bathrooms, are located upstairs, including five duplex suites with a separate living room, an opulent bedroom, and two bathrooms!
