Cosmic Villas proudly presents this beautifully renovated 19th-century farmhouse for up to 16 people near the stunning Baroque cities of Ragusa, Modica, and Montalbano's Scicli.

Wander to the expansive terrace and stare at the untouched Sicilian countryside for over a century. The villa has been in the same family for centuries.

Its present owner has spent significant time and care restoring it, always retaining its authenticity and character while adding modern additions like air-conditioned bedrooms, Wi-Fi, and satellite TV with Netflix.

The rustic ground floor, which previously housed the chariot, has been renovated into a large living and dining area with classic arched ceilings and a nicely tiled kitchen. Three bedrooms with stone-carved ceilings, king-size beds, and private bathrooms may accommodate up to 10 guests.

The upper floor, which was once an aristocratic holiday residence, is nobler in style, with three bedrooms and bathrooms for a total of six guests, a relaxing room with fireplace, and a charming kitchen and dining area - a self-contained apartment in its own right, accessible via the original stone stairs outside.

The two upper terraces, however, will steal your breath away - relax with a glass of Cerasuolo di Vittoria from a nearby winery and savour the beautiful views from either the east or west-facing terrace.

The private swimming pool, set amongst the stone walls, is another joy - chill off from the hot summer heat before dining alfresco beneath one of the fruit trees. Look for pomegranates, lemons, and olive trees depending on the season, and be overwhelmed by the fragrances of the garden - this is what Sicily should be all about.

It's ideally located between Ragusa and its harbour. It is an ideal base for touring south-eastern Sicily and its many UNESCO World Heritage-listed Baroque towns.

Ragusa's old architecture is like a museum, while Modica is home to gorgeous palazzi, churches, and delectable chocolate. Scicli is rich in Baroque splendour and is a must-see for lovers of the famed Montalbano detective series.

The coastline of Marina di Ragusa is about 15 kilometres distant, and many more beautiful beaches can be found at Donnalucata and Spiaggia di Randello, both of which include natural reserves.

If you want to go further, drive to Marzamemi, Noto, or perhaps Syracuse. Spend time exploring Sicily's archaeological sites, which range from neighbouring Cava d'Ispica and Kamarina to Agrigento in the east.

It is paid to the owner twelve weeks before arrival by bank transfer, credit card, or cash.
