Downstairs, the living and dining areas are open-plan to provide the illusion of more space, and the master bedroom has both a bath and a shower room. The ground floor's French windows lead to the home's magnificent long terrace.
Under the original eaves are two delightful double/twin bedrooms with an en suite shower room.
The views from the casa's characterful stone terrace are spectacular, thanks to its hilltop location - it's the ideal site for a glass of local Nero D'Avola while gazing out over the surrounding valley to the sea.
Find a shady area under one of the carob trees for summer meals, then descend the stone steps to the lovely swimming pool.
A freshly refurbished and beautiful annexe on the estate offers accommodation for up to six additional guests in three en suite bedrooms. The piece de resistance is the magnificent covered patio for summer lounging and al-fresco dining. It is charming in its own basic manner, with lovely personal touches in the living space.
The sea is only a 6-kilometre drive away, and you can put your toes in the turquoise-coloured water surrounded by a protected nature reserve.
Other gorgeous beaches nearby include Donnalucata and Marina di Ragusa, or you may travel a little further to explore more of the stunning coastline of south-eastern Sicily.
You're also close to Scicli, one of the region's most lovely Baroque towns, with stunning palazzi and churches. Ragusa and Modica are likewise stunningly beautiful; all three towns are UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Val di Noto region.
