Cosmic Villas is pleased to showcase this stylish villa that sleeps 16 guests and is located on the outskirts of Europe's most active volcano, Etna.
The country estate, set on 15 acres of land, went back to the 19th century and was formerly a working home - the owners resided upstairs in the main house. The wine was produced downstairs in the Palmento, using grapes from the neighbouring vineyards. Today, visitors are welcome to sample the local wines stored downstairs in what has now been converted into a wine cellar.
While the present owners have kept the farmhouse's historical elements, the villa has been painstakingly renovated into a modern residence with attractive, design-led interiors.
Seven bedrooms are divided between the main house and the two annexes previously used as animal and staff housing. They now serve as an idyllic base for families and groups of friends vacationing together on Sicily's east coast.
The hub is the main house's enormous living room, with its modern and comfortable seating and dining space - the ideal site to unwind after a day exploring the local region, basking in the sun by the outside pool, or having a home-cooked meal prepared in the colourfully tiled kitchen.
Alternatively, visitors can use the outside kitchen and grill for dining outside under the gazebo with spectacular views of Mount Etna. These breathtaking views may also be seen while sitting in the infinity pool or on one of the loungers - it's difficult to miss!
When it's time to recharge your batteries, retreat to the main villa's two en-suite bedrooms or the annexes, which have two and three bedrooms, respectively - the larger of the annexes also has a fully-equipped kitchen.
The nearest village is 2.5km distant, and Castiglione di Sicilia (7km) has stores and restaurants nearby. During your stay, you must see Etna, Taormina (35 km), Giardini Naxos (26 km), Catania (53 km), and, further away, Syracuse (120km).
