The home emanates history, character, and charm in the hills outside of Lucca, one of northern Tuscany's most gorgeous towns.

The environment of this exquisite residence is unique, with ornate Italian gardens, century-old trees, a sweet-scented jasmine pergola, and the sound of trickling fountains as you travel around the paths and lawns.

A creek flows into two small lakes, ideal for relaxing while watching the swans swim by. Then there's the lovely swimming pool, which is great for long summer days and is gorgeously flood-lit at night.

Step inside to discover the distinct personality of each floor. Ascend the villa's broad steps to the first-floor living room, a charming and beautiful space with frescoed walls and elaborate furnishings.

The romantic music room next door has a piano by the balcony, and a jacuzzi bathroom adds another level of luxury. There are three big bedrooms on this level, each with a king-size bed, air conditioning, and an en suite shower room.

Four more bedrooms are on the top floor, all with air conditioning and en suite shower rooms. Again, however, these are more classic, with wood beams, antique furnishings, and lovely small windows looking out over the glorious grounds.

Finally, there's the welcoming ground level, which includes dining rooms, a lounge, a library, and a Tuscan kitchen, as well as steps leading down to the cellar, which is ideal for family fun playing cards and table football while eating pizza from the wood-burning oven.

Feast with family and friends in one of two alfresco dining spaces, possibly served by the villa's chef, who is available for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Most days, maid service is also included, and there are a variety of optional extras available, ranging from cooking classes and wine tasting to tailored itineraries and private excursions of the surrounding area.

There is so much to discover in this enticing corner of northern Tuscany. Begin at Lucca, with its beautiful ancient centre and attractive city walls, and then travel to adjacent villages such as Collodi, San Miniato, and the spa resort of Montecatini-Terme.

Pisa and Florence are other great day outings or head to the coast for beaches, watersports, and summer lidos in Viareggio, which is only a half-hour drive away.

Explore the panoramas of Monte Pisano or drive north for kayaking and hiking in Garfagna if you want to experience the best of Tuscan nature. Then, spend time at the villa and relax in this magnificent home's ancient and peaceful gardens.

1000 GBP PER BOOKING:

It is paid to the owner twelve weeks before arrival by bank transfer, credit card, or cash.

The property owner/management will take over full responsibility for holding and returning your breakage deposit and shall have the right to deduct from the breakage deposit charges for any damage/loss to the property or any item in it or on its premises that you or any member of your party causes.
