This refurbished country farmhouse is located on a high hillside dotted with olive groves near the famed Cinque Terre and just outside the town of La Spezia. Pathways around the property provide opportunities for long, tranquil walks among the hills.
The historical features of the property have been meticulously preserved, creating a lovely, almost fairytale-like atmosphere. The wood beams, stone walls, and brick archways that make this house such a warm and restful place to stay have been beautifully restored. The rambling outside space, which gives panoramic views of the sea and neighbouring countryside, is equally magnificent.
The living room is a comfortable setting to unwind and spend quality time with family and friends. Comfortable sofas coexist with antique furnishings and a flat-screen television.
The wood table and seats in the dining room, which also has a staircase to the first floor, add to the ancient appeal. The country-style kitchen has every amenity you want and has lovely views of the terrace.
A double bedroom and one with two single beds are located on the first level. Both are tranquil and provide breathtaking views of the sea. The nice family bathroom has a large shower for waking you up in the morning or relaxing before bed. The two remaining double bedrooms are on the second level. They each have a sea view and an en-suite bathroom.
The terrace, with a partially covered area for al fresco dining, is the most lovely location outside. A stone banquette area beside the enormous dining table is ideal for pre-dinner beverages. A big, private swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers is set among the pristine lawns. In addition, there are tranquil locations throughout the garden where you may enjoy total privacy and the enticing aroma of the garden's lovely plants and flowers.
The home is ideally situated for visiting the Cinque Terre, a collection of five coastal villages with a traditional, fishing-community character. The pastel-coloured cottages nestled amid rocky hillsides and cliff edges readily identify them. Riomaggiore, the nearest village, is a 30-minute drive away.
The harbour town of La Spezia is considerably closer, with a train station only a 10-minute drive away. You can get a bus from here to any of the Cinque Terre settlements. Please spend some time in town, seeing its historical attractions and beautiful waterfront area.
