Cosmic Villas is pleased to provide this Renaissance mansion with expansive gardens, an ideal setting for a memorable trip with family or friends. The main house and annexe sleep 16 guests, potentially adding seven more.
You will notice these lovely houses on the mountain as you approach the house through the tree-lined gardens. These homes were constructed in the 1600s and are now a part of the breathtaking scenery.
The illustrious Medici family, who controlled Florence and the surrounding environs for centuries, originally possessed the enormous and exquisite villa and annexe. Even now, the decor and furnishings reflect its illustrious past, with traditional materials and period characteristics coexisting with high-quality furniture and a soothing colour scheme.
The bedrooms in the main villa can sleep ten people, while the annexe can sleep six. When extra beds and sofa beds are added, a total of seven people can stay, making this a versatile room that can be tailored to the demands of your group.
As you approach the main villa, you will be greeted by a bright, open-plan living space with a huge dining table, comfortable sofas, and a feature fireplace. These sections all flow fluidly into one another to form the centre of the home, ideal for gathering over a meal.
A fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast table and a helpful study downstairs is also available. When it's time to call it a night, travel upstairs to one of the five tranquil bedrooms, two of which are en-suite.
The annexe is decorated and furnished in the same style as the main house, although entirely separate. This second structure features two living areas, a vast dining room, a modern kitchen, and three bedrooms. Both homes include the latest conveniences you might want, such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and smart TVs, to make your stay more comfortable.
The spacious gardens, which are filled with trees, lawns, and outdoor seating, are shared by both villas. In addition, there are various terraces and covered dining areas to select from if you want to dine outside. On a hot day, you'll enjoy cooling down in the private pool before unwinding with an excellent read in the afternoon, all while taking in the views of the rolling countryside.
The property is in a rural setting but is not remote, as utilities are only 7 kilometres away in the village of Vinci. Vinci is a small village, although it is well-known for being the birthplace and adolescent residence of the artist, scientist, and inventor Leonardo da Vinci.
Those interested in Da Vinci can visit his family home and a fantastic museum. A 13th-century castle looms over the other structures, as do the Church of Santa Croce and a few artisan stores and cafés.
Florence, which is 35 kilometres away from the property, is a little further afield but a must-see for a day trip. This city is recognised as the Cradle of the Renaissance and is the capital of Tuscany. Arrive early because there are numerous museums, galleries, palaces, and places of religion to explore.
