Cosmic Villas proudly provides this contemporary home with spectacular views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.
This beautiful property was constructed in the 1840s as the manor house for the nearby vineyard. As you approach the villa through the gated, tree-lined gardens, you will notice the tremendous ancient façade that has been restored.
As you enter, you will be greeted with an ample open-plan living space flooded with natural light that sparkles off the elegant marble floors. Sink into the plush sofas for a conversation over a glass of local wine, or dine at the chic dining table.
When the sun goes down, you can choose six magnificent bedrooms, each with its own design characteristics and splashes of colour. The rooms feature king-sized beds, armchairs, spacious closets or dressing areas, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom. After a long day, two bedrooms offer enormous, inviting soaking tubs to bathe in.
The proprietors have gone to great lengths to ensure guests are comfortable throughout their stay; there is Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a games room, a cinema room, and even a spa area for total relaxation.
This sense of room and indulgence continues as you enter the expansive garden, which features lawns, palm trees, dining areas, outdoor lounges, and a private swimming pool with sea views.
A few stores, restaurants, and cafés less than a kilometre from the property, but Acireale has a considerably more comprehensive range (8km).
The town features a beautiful historic centre with a cathedral, basilica, and various museums, including a puppet museum. From here, you can also embark on multiple activities, such as a historical walking tour of the town with a local guide or a day trip up Mount Etna.
While in Sicily, you will undoubtedly want to spend significant time exploring the vast coastline, and the nearest beaches are just 6 kilometres away. Everything from tiny cliff-lined coves to enormous lengths of white sand can be found close to the property, so whether you enjoy snorkelling or sunbathing, you will have no trouble finding a suitable beach.
Catania, a lively port city at the foot of Mount Etna, is only 22 kilometres from Le Graste. Catania has changed dramatically throughout time due to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, but many beautiful ancient sites have survived.
The entire old town was rebuilt in the late 17th century in a spectacular Baroque style, with vast piazzas and stunning buildings specially made using lava from the volcano.
The Piazza Duomo is the location for historic buildings; here, you can visit the cathedral, the town hall and the Diocesan Museum, home to church artwork and Christian relics. Closer to the port is the 13th-century Castello Ursino, where you may explore the historic castle, art gallery, and civic museum on the main level.
After sightseeing, head to Catania's flourishing fish market for fresh seafood and a typical citrus drink from a tiny street kiosk. If you want to go on a boat journey, depart from the harbour on an expedition along the beautiful coastline or to some of the nearby stunning caves.
