This large villa is a historic structure with vaulted ceilings, local stone and tiles, and feature fireplaces. The owners have created a peaceful setting by blending quality furnishings and antiques with attractive colour palettes, a modern kitchen, and bathrooms.
As you approach the house, you will notice an open-plan living space that leads to a fully equipped kitchen. You can eat indoors or outside under the covered pergola when it's time for dinner. Finally, as the sun sets, you can select from five beautiful bedrooms for a good night's sleep.
There is a room with bunk beds suited for children and two bedrooms with standard beds and en-suite baths. Another calm double bedroom can be found in the main house, and the final double en-suite room may be reached quietly from the yard, ideal for those who need a bit more privacy.
The garden is a beautiful feature. The house is on an acre of land, although you'll probably spend most of your time in the lovely walled courtyard. Swimming in the L-shaped pool, grilling on the BBQ, or relaxing with an excellent book on the cosy seats are all options here. At the same time, the kids are pleasantly engaged on the climbing frame or playing basketball.
There are two towns nearby where you may get groceries or a cup of coffee in the morning. Oria is 4.5 kilometres away and is a lovely mediaeval village founded by shipwrecked Greeks. Explore the narrow cobblestone lanes on foot to absorb the history and spirit of the area.
Visitors may see the majestic castle and its towers and the cathedral, which has an intriguing crypt filled with mummies! Then, grab some croissants and head to Montalbano Park for a sunny picnic.
Latiano, another local town, is only 5 kilometres away from home. Fortunately, tourists do not know this village well, making it an ideal location for a natural Puglian supper in a small trattoria.
