Cosmic Villas is pleased to showcase this quiet countryside house with beautiful views of the neighbouring olive orchards and woodlands.
The house is conveniently located at the border of Tuscany, within an hour of Perugia, in the heart of Italy.
The terracotta-coloured property, which can accommodate 12 guests, overlooks a lovely blue swimming pool with several relaxing areas. Floor-to-ceiling windows replace walls in the expansive living room, creating an inside-outside effect.
The open, modern kitchen is well-equipped for dinner groups. In addition, guests can have an aperitif while watching for deer in one of the several dining or lounging areas.
The main floor has spacious double bedrooms, while the basement has a cosy games room with a pool table that can be turned into table tennis and space for viewing movies or playing video games.
The games room is excellent for children to play on a wet day or for parents to have a nightcap at the bar.
Steps lead from the ground floor and basement to the tiled pool area with plenty of shady corners and an undercover dining area with spectacular countryside views.
The winter garden is equipped for all seasons. It has an undercover pavilion with a wood-burning fireplace and a BBQ area, making it the ideal site for a romantic candlelit dinner.
Umbertide, the nearest town, is only a 10-minute drive away. Many preserved structures and attractions exist, including archaeological remnants, museums, a fortress, a castle, and the spectacular Church of Santa Maria della Pietà, which features 15th-century murals.
The town also offers a variety of stores and restaurants, where you may purchase some of the region's famous pottery.
It would be a pity to tour Umbria without visiting its city, Perugia, which is only a 40-minute drive away. This lovely city appears to have remained untouched for ages and is a joy to explore.
Starting at the central plaza, Piazza IV November, you may make your way through the maze-like backstreets to discover artisan stores, attractive restaurants, and many cultural attractions.
The Palazzo dei Priori, a magnificent 13th-century palace, is a must-see. If you are visiting in July, Perugia offers a world-renowned Jazz festival.
The villa is ideal for groups of friends and families, and it is a great starting place for a range of activities, including wine-tasting, truffle hunting tours, mountain biking, and wild swimming.
The region is also rich in ancient attractions, with Montone, Gubbio, and Assisi all within easy driving distance of the villa.
